SLINC is a managed technology firm on Long Island. We design, document and run the phone system, network, computers, cameras and website for small and midsize businesses, under one monthly agreement.
Where we started
We began with the phones.
SLINC began as SLINC Voice: hosted business phone systems, with Yealink desk phones we configured, labeled and shipped ourselves, so they worked the moment they were plugged in.
Supporting those phones taught us where problems actually come from. Choppy calls turn out to be a switch. Dropped calls turn out to be a router. A phone that will not register turns out to be a firewall rule someone changed. The phone company gets the call, but the cause is usually in the network, the closet or the computer beside it.
So we took those on too. Today SLINC manages the whole office: the phones, the network they run on, the computers and accounts next to them, the cameras on that same network, and the website customers find first.
How we operate

The phones, the network, the computers, the cameras and the website are ours to answer for. There is nobody else to point at, and we would not want there to be.

Documented, not remembered
Every site we manage has a written record of what is installed, how it is wired and who owns which account. Anyone we send can work from it.

Disruptive work after hours
Cutovers, clean-ups and changes are scheduled for when the office is closed, with a written plan before anything is touched.

Agreements, not break/fix
We work on monthly agreements, not hourly tickets. We are paid to keep things running, not to fix the same thing twice.
