How to Provision a Yealink Phone
Last updated February 27, 2026
Overview
When you receive a new Yealink phone from us, it’s already configured and ready to plug in. But if you’ve purchased your own Yealink phone or need to re-provision an existing one, this guide walks you through pointing it at our provisioning server.
Once provisioned, your phone will automatically pull down its configuration — extension, BLF keys, parking keys, and everything else we’ve set up for your account.
What You’ll Need
- Your Yealink phone, powered on and connected to your network
- A computer on the same network as the phone
- The phone’s IP address (shown on the phone’s display screen)
Step 1: Find the Phone’s IP Address
On most Yealink models, press the OK button or go to Menu → Status to see the phone’s IP address. It will look something like 192.168.1.105.
Step 2: Log into the Phone’s Web Interface
- Open a web browser on your computer
- Type the phone’s IP address into the address bar (e.g.,
http://192.168.1.105) - Log in with the default credentials:
- Username:
admin - Password:
admin
- Username:
Note: If
admin/admindoesn’t work, the phone may have been provisioned before and the password changed. See the factory reset section below, then come back to this step.
Step 3: Set the Provisioning Server
- Navigate to Settings → Auto Provision
- Set the Server URL to:
http://sipcfg.io/cfg/
- Set Check New Config to Power On
- Click Confirm or Save to apply the settings
Step 4: Run Auto Provision
Still on the Auto Provision page, click the Autoprovision Now button. The phone will reach out to our server, download its configuration, and reboot.
This usually takes about 30–60 seconds. When the phone comes back up, you should see your extension and name on the display.
After Provisioning
A few things to know once your phone is provisioned:
- The admin password will change. After provisioning, the web interface password is no longer
admin. This is by design — it locks down the phone’s settings. If you need to access the web interface again, contact us. - BLF and parking keys will be pre-configured based on your account setup.
- Don’t change settings on the phone directly. Changes made locally may get overwritten the next time the phone re-provisions. If you need something adjusted, let us know and we’ll update it on the server side.
Factory Reset (If Needed)
If the phone was previously configured and you can’t log in, you can factory reset it:
- With the phone powered on, long-press the OK button for about 10 seconds (on most models)
- The phone will prompt you to confirm the factory reset — select OK
- The phone will reboot to its factory defaults
- Go back to Step 2 above and proceed with provisioning
Tip: On some models, the factory reset is under Menu → Settings → Advanced Settings (password:
admin) → Reset to Factory Settings. If the long-press method doesn’t work on your model, try the menu method or give us a call.
