Cameras on the network we already run, and footage you can actually find.
Security cameras are network devices. We put them on Ubiquiti UniFi Protect, on the same PoE network as your phones and Wi-Fi, recorded on site, and answerable to the same firm.
What we manage
From the front door to the recorder in the closet.
The system
- UniFi Protect cameras
- Indoor and outdoor cameras chosen for each view: the front door, the register, the lot, the back entrance.
- A local recorder
- Footage is recorded on a recorder in your own closet, not streamed to a stranger’s cloud. Storage is sized to how long you need to keep it.
- Doorbells and door access
- Video doorbells, and badge or phone entry on the doors that need it, in the same app as the cameras.
Day to day
- Live view on your phone
- Watch any camera, or scrub back through the day, from the UniFi Protect app on your phone or computer.
- Footage you can find
- Motion and smart detection mark people and vehicles on the timeline, so you jump to the moment instead of watching hours.
- Who sees what
- Owners see everything, managers see their location, staff see nothing unless you decide otherwise. Access is written down.
Under management
- Firmware and health
- Cameras and the recorder kept updated. When a camera goes offline or a drive starts failing, we know.
- Exports on request
- Need a clip for the police or an insurance claim? Ask, and we pull it and send it.
- Changes after hours
- New cameras, moved cameras and recorder upgrades are installed when the office is closed.
Why UniFi
One system for the network, the Wi-Fi and the cameras.
UniFi Protect runs on the same Ubiquiti platform as the switches and access points we install. The cameras show up in the same console, draw power from the same switches, and record to a recorder you own, with no per-camera cloud subscription.

Ladders and drills come in when the office is closed. Staff arrive to a working system and a short walk-through.
What we document
Know what every camera sees, and who can see it.
When something happens, nobody should be hunting for the recorder password. Every system we manage has a written record, and it belongs to you.
- Camera map
- Every camera on a floor plan, with its view, cable run and switch port.
- Retention
- How many days of footage are kept, and how the recorder is sized to hold it.
- Access
- Who can view live, who can play back, who can export. Reviewed when staff change.
- Equipment
- Model, serial, firmware and warranty for every camera, doorbell and recorder.
